St. Lucia
Launched in 2015, applicants choose between a $240,000 donation for a family of four or a $300,000 refundable bond investment.

Investment routes
Every figure below is the published minimum for a single applicant. Family size, due diligence fees, and government processing fees can adjust the final total.
Non-refundable donation priced for the main applicant and up to three qualifying dependants. The most straightforward route since there's no property or enterprise vetting layer.
Investment into an approved enterprise project (sectors include specialty restaurants, cruise ports, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure), covering the main applicant and up to three dependants, plus administrative fees.
Approved real estate purchase held for a minimum of 5 years, covering the main applicant and all qualifying dependants under one property.
A non-interest-bearing bond held for a minimum of 5 years, after which the principal is returned. It's the only Caribbean route on this site offering capital return without a property sale.

How the St. Lucia process works
Pre-clearance review
We assess eligibility and flag any due diligence risk before an application is filed.
Filing with CIP office
An authorised agent submits the application to St. Lucia's Citizenship by Investment Programme office, along with the non-refundable processing and due diligence fees.
Due diligence & interview
Background verification is carried out, including an online interview with the main applicant.
Approval-in-principle & investment
On approval, the chosen investment must be completed within 90 calendar days, a longer grace period than most comparable Caribbean programs.
Oath & registration
The main applicant signs an oath of allegiance before an attorney or notary, and the certificate of citizenship is issued. Standard processing runs 4–5 months for a clean file, though the unit has experienced periods of backlog.

Questions about St. Lucia
Is the bond route actually refundable in cash, or as a credit?
The bond is returned as principal in cash after the 5-year holding period, not as a credit toward anything else. It carries no interest, which is the tradeoff for eventually getting the capital back rather than donating it outright.
What does the Enterprise Investment route actually involve?
It's an investment into an approved commercial project. The government has named sectors like specialty restaurants, cruise ports, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure as eligible. It suits applicants who want a stake in an active business rather than a donation or a passive bond.
Is 4–5 months a reliable estimate right now?
It's the programme's standard published window for a clean file, but the unit has experienced periods of backlog that can extend real-world timelines. We track current processing patterns with active cases and will give you a realistic estimate for your specific route before you file.
Can parents be included even if they don't live with me?
Dependent parents or grandparents over 55 are the qualifying category on this program. Check current eligibility with your case advisor, since dependant rules are one of the details government units revise most often.
Does St. Lucia citizenship require renouncing my current nationality?
No. St. Lucia permits dual citizenship and does not require you to give up your existing nationality, consistent with every Caribbean program on this page.
