Investment routes
Every figure below is the published minimum for a single applicant. Family size, due diligence fees, and government processing fees can adjust the final total.
Non-refundable donation, priced for a family of up to four under the program's current fee structure, roughly $15,000 more per additional dependant beyond four.
A non-refundable contribution to the UWI Fund for a family of six or more, which also includes a one-year university scholarship for a family member. It's the most cost-effective route for larger families.
Approved real estate purchase, held for a minimum of 5 years before resale is permitted; joint purchases are accepted at $300,000 per applicant.
A direct business acquisition for a single applicant, or a joint purchase among two or more applicants at a minimum of $400,000 each (totalling at least $5,000,000).

How the Antigua & Barbuda process works
Pre-clearance review
We review the application against known due diligence risk factors before filing.
Filing with the CIU
A licensed agent submits the application package (forms AB1–AB5, plus supporting documents in English or certified translation) to the Citizenship by Investment Unit.
Due diligence, interview & vetting
Standard background and financial checks are carried out alongside a mandatory online interview for applicants and dependants 16 and over; real estate applications add a property and developer vetting step.
Approval & payment
On approval, the donation or investment payment is completed.
Oath & passport issuance
Citizenship is registered and the passport issued. The programme's standard window is 4–5 months from filing, though the unit has experienced periods of backlog, and the 5-day stay requirement still needs to be satisfied separately within 5 years.
What this program includes
- Visa-free access to 150+ countries

Questions about Antigua & Barbuda
What happens if the 5-day stay requirement isn't met?
It's a condition attached to citizenship remaining in good standing under the program's rules, not an automatic revocation trigger, but it shouldn't be treated as optional. We build the visit into the client's post-approval plan rather than leaving it to chance.
Does any family member's visit satisfy the requirement, or does the main applicant have to go?
The requirement is satisfied by any one family member on the application spending the 5 days in-country within the first 5 years. It doesn't have to be the main applicant specifically.
How is Antigua & Barbuda's real estate route different from St. Kitts & Nevis'?
The entry figure and holding period differ: Antigua & Barbuda's real estate minimum sits at $300,000 with a 5-year hold, versus St. Kitts & Nevis' $325,000 and 7-year hold. Otherwise the structure (buy, hold, eventually resell) is the same idea.
Who is the University of the West Indies route actually for?
It's priced for larger families (six or more qualifying members) and bundles in a one-year scholarship for one of them. For a family that size, it can work out more cost-effective than the standard donation route.
Can siblings really be included on this application?
Yes, unmarried siblings of any age can be included. This is broader than most Caribbean programs on this page, which generally stop at spouse, children, and dependent parents.
